Our Himalayan Salt Licks are a great, easy way to encourage your horse to obtain all the salt that they need for their overall health and wellbeing. Salt for horses and ponies is essential, as without it their muscles and nerves will not perform correctly, leading to digestive problems, lethargy, and performance deficits. Our hanging salt licks make it simple to provide your horse with the correct amount of salt, as they cannot absorb enough from their feed alone. Salt licks are especially important for competing horses that sweat a lot because the salt will help replenish their electrolytes and encourage them to stay hydrated. Licking these blocks can also provide mental stimulation, reduce boredom, and keep your horse happy and engaged. Our Himalayan Salt Licks come with a handy rope, making them simple to hang in your horse's stable or field. Make sure they are at a height that your horse can easily access them, keeping them out of reach of foals. Salt will make your horse thirsty, encouraging proper hydration, so make sure they always have plenty of water available. Can be fed alongside our Black Salt to ensure your horse is absorbing the correct amount of salt, allowing them to self-regulate using the salt lick if they need more.
