Why Feed Glucosamine HCL?

  • Joint Lubrication: Glucosamine HCL is a precursor to glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which are essential components of joint fluid and cartilage. Supplementing with glucosamine HCL can help maintain adequate joint lubrication, promoting smooth movement and reducing friction within the joints.
  • Cartilage Repair and Maintenance: Glucosamine HCL plays a crucial role in the synthesis of cartilage matrix components, such as proteoglycans and collagen. By providing the building blocks necessary for cartilage repair and maintenance, glucosamine HCL supports joint integrity and function.
  • Promote Joint Flexibility and Mobility: By supporting cartilage health, glucosamine HCL can help promote good joint flexibility and mobility in horses. This is particularly beneficial for performance horses or older equines experiencing stiffness or reduced range of motion in their joints.

  • Natural and Safe: Glucosamine HCL is a naturally occurring compound found in the body, making it safe for long-term use in horses. It is well-tolerated with minimal risk of adverse effects when fed at appropriate levels (see below).

Overall, glucosamine HCL is recognised as a valuable supplement for horses, offering support for joint lubrication, cartilage repair and enhanced mobility, thereby contributing to the overall well-being and performance of horses, especially those with joint-related issues.
