Why Feed your horse Eyebright?

Eyebright is most commonly used to support & maintain eye health

This 100% natural supplement is packed full of vitamins & minerals including; Vitamins A, B & E, as well as zinc, selenium & copper, all of which provide amazing nutritional support for eye health.

We use 100% pure Eyebright, nothing else is added or taken away.

How To Feed Eyebright

This product can be mixed with your horses daily feed at the following amounts:

• Small Horse (Under 450kg) - 20g per day, this can be split between feeds or given at once
• Large Horse (450kg+) - 30g per day, this can be split between feeds or given at once

Feeding as an Infusion

Many herbs, including Eyebright, can be fed as an Infusion, this helps the active ingredients become more readily available and more easily absorbed by your horse. 

1. Put the daily required amount of herbs in a bucket (quantities stated above)
2. Add 1/2 pint (300ml) of boiling water to the herbs, mix and then allow to cool
3. When cooled, the whole infusion (including the herbs) can be used to dampen down your horses feed.

If you don't have access to a kettle you can just soak your herbs overnight and this will also help your horse absorb the natural vitamins, minerals & active ingredients.

Using Externally

Eyebright can also be made into an eyebath. To do this, place around 10-15g into a bowl, pour 250ml of boiling water and steep for 5-10 minutes. Cool the mixture and strain using a muslin (squeeze well!). The liquid can then be used to bathe the eyes up to three times a day if needed. We would recommend making this eyewash fresh each time you wish to use it.
