Ellen herself, founder of Ellen Collinson Herbal Products, has been a horsewoman all her life, riding and training eventers, point-to-pointers and racehorses and often breeding her own horses. She has combined this with her work as an equine iridologist and herbalist with over 40 years' experience. Ellen found that there was a growing demand and, moreover, a growing need for herbal products but that many of those already on the market were not producing the desired results and gave grounds for the sceptics to doubt the efficacy of herbal products as a whole.
She realised that, to counter these problems, these products had to have an almost immediate effect. After lengthy research and by using the barks and roots as well as the leaves and flowers of the plants she formulated a unique range of products which have been proved to be extremely effective.
Having built the business on "word of mouth", with the endorsement of Veterinary Surgeons as well as some of the top trainers and competition riders in both England and Ireland, we are now offering these products to every horse owner who wishes to give their horse or pony the very best.
Being in powder form, they are much stronger than other herbal products, are given in smaller quantities and they do not have to be given continuously. Normally they are administered as a single month’s course. Each course is targeted at a specific problem. However, there are one or two formulas that can be given long term without any of the side effects of chemical medication.
As already mentioned in the Introduction to the products, all of them are passed by the VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate) as suitable for marketing without licence and are free from any prohibited substances. They do not contain any herbs that are on the prohibited list for competition in any field.
